The best way to understand a people is through your history. Start your day getting a walking tour in Downtown Rio, visiting Theatro Municipal, Biblioteca Nacional and Museu Histórico Nacional.
Have a break for lunch at Arcos da Lapa’s restaurants and take pictures at Selaron Stairs between Lapa and Santa Teresa.

At afternoon, take a Bondinho (cable car) from Largo da Carioca(Downtown) to Largo do Curvelo in Santa Teresa. Walk from Largo do Curvelo to Largo dos Guimarães, visiting souvenir stores and bars.
