Opened September, 1965 the Museum of Image and Sound as part of celebrations of fourth centenary of the city of Rio. This pioneering genre of audiovisual museum, have a qualified music and Picture documentation center.

The new headquarters became a symbol of Rio de Janeiro, located in Copacabana Beach with easy access receive a significant number of musicians, writers, artists, thinkers and photographers whose Works have shaped the country’s culture.
